Our main goal is to assist members to achieve their CPD requirements, this at present is only compulsory for those who have registered with the GDC as of 30th July 2008, although we know that there may be certain groups, such as the IMPT, that police their own CPD at present.

The forums are there specifically for learning and supplying information relating to the dental profession and all its disciplines. We encourage all contributors to post accurate and well thought out posts which will provide useful information to all members. Time spent on the forum will be logged against your username and will qualify for verifiable CPD. (This excludes the ‘Off Subject forum’.) Those members who wish to achieve verifiable CPD will need to click on to My CPD to initiate their online records. After spending time on the relevant forums you will be able to request a certificate which will give details of time spent online. Once signed onto the forum there will be an automatic log off after 15 minutes, if no activity on the site has been recorded.

Whilst we will be maintaining the site with the help of our team of moderators, we cannot be held responsible for any misinformation that is posted on the site, although we will endeavour to remove any posts that are either misleading, offensive or abusive and would therefore be grateful for any such posts to be reported directly to ourselves so that appropriate action can be taken.

We hope you enjoy interacting with your colleagues and find that forums are a great way of gaining extra knowledge and learning about specific hot topics. We are always open to suggestions about the forum and message boards and will take on board any constructive criticism or your ideas and endeavour to give members what they want.
